South Africa's G20 Presidency

Solidarity, Equality & Sustainability

South Africa assumed the G20 Presidency on 1 December 2024, with a theme centred on solidarity, equality and sustainability — values that align directly with SAFCOL's mission as a responsible, state-owned forestry enterprise.

SAFCOL's work in sustainable timber management, community upliftment and green economy contribution positions the company as a key player in realising South Africa's G20 commitments.

Equality

Creating inclusive economic opportunities in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal — provinces with historically high unemployment.
